Gauges

Always liked the idea of having a lot of gauges which can help to see everything that is going on under the bonnet.

The only thing stopping me is actually the price. It's OK for one but you really want more than that :)

So while looking for other choices I found gauges for Lada (I think it's for Niva model). They are cheap, looks acceptable and you can get all necessary fitment and senders/units for them in shops here.

I definitely would not go with all but have plans to use at least some of them in my car. I chose the two ones:

- Quartz watches

- Voltmeter

Original lightning for them is a 5Watt lamp with green light. Since going to switch everything to deep-blue to fit my interior, decided to use blue LEDs for this purpose.

Soldered them into standard lamp socket (along with ballast resistor). Actually these bloody things are so bright thats only requires one or two per gauge.

This is the result:

Finally I've got all gouges I want and installed them. This is the way how dash looks like now:
